Recorded this for my buddy. My friend Liz loved this song, so he asked me to learn it. Here’s my version. This is a great, simple song by The Milk Carton Kids. Listen here.
Another John Prine song. This is such a goofy world. I wanted to share some more of John with you. I hope you find time for some gratitude and joy for some of the simpler things in life. Lets make art together. Love, Andy.
John Prine. Hero. I’m really going to miss him when he’s gone. I’m so grateful that I was shown his music early in my life. I’m so glad to have had the chance to see him perform. John Prine’s music means a whole hell of a lot to me. I don’t think I can truly express how much. I heard he got the virus and I know he’s not getting any younger… All this to say, I think this is a perfect song to remember John. It has a sweetheart sentiment, but lots of humor and candidness, that we all could use. He’s inspired me so much and I’m really going to fucking miss him when he’s gone.
Hi ALL! I’ll be playing the Big Turn Music Festival this year. I’m really excited about it and I really think you all should get tickets ASAP. Here is a link to the Big Turn site. I’ll be playing 2/21, 8:00PM to 9:00PM at Red Wing Framing & Fine Arts Printing located at 312 West Ave, Red Wing, MN 55066. This should be really fun. Here’s a full recording of the set I plan on playing.
STAGE NAME: Jimmy Shawarma
More weird sounds. This podcast will probably be just this from now on. Not really, but that would be fun. Enjoy!
A cover of a Blaze Foley song.
Just here to record some things. Pretty much anything. Barks. Meows. The wind. A motorcycle. People talking. Ideas. Interviews. Monotony. Laughs. Yelling. Crying. Birds. Cows. Water.
